Urban Youth and Arts Summit

UN Headquarters Gigiri, Nairobi , Kenya

Bringing together national and international artists, representatives of arts foundations, the private sector arts industry, and young people active in the arts for a unique networking and dialogue event.

Lend your ideas about the contribution of the arts to the city: specifically, in terms of youth empowerment, employment, security, and strengthening of local urban culture.

A special focus on the re-launching of UN-HABITAT’s “Messengers of Truth Programme”, originally a special designation given to urban artists actively engaged in urban issues:

· the right to shelter

· violence free communities,

· adequate health; and

· economic, education training opportunities for youth.
